Title: Production Operative

Reporting to: Production Supervisor

Position: Permanent

Location: Sandbach, Cheshire, UK

Hours of Work: 37 Hours per week

Salary: £8.25 per hour, subject to experience and qualifications

Job Summary:

 Preparing mould tools, laminate composite materials, de-mould parts, trim and finish composite assemblies and  general duties required for the assembly of kits and parts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 Preparing Moulds for production of parts

 Cutting and kitting materials for assembly of composite parts

 Demould/Bagging and de-bagging of the component

 Trimming and finishing (including bonding of metallic components)

 Possess the skill and ability to carry out the above operations to the processes to a high standard

 Maintain a high level of workmanship in a safe manner, meeting AVS-SYS health and safety guidelines

 Put forward ideas to improve the efficiency and productivity of the organisation

 Other tasks as required to support deadlines and customer requirements.

Competencies

  Ability to learn and support the production of assemblies and kits to schedule

  Must be able to work unsupervised and complete tasks within given timescales

  Confident to work with large tools and production parts which require multiple processes including bonded          fixtures, trimming and finishing

Experience

  Experience of working within a production environment with experience of assembling parts or components.   Experience with composite materials preferable but not essential as training will be given

 Working with engineers or technicians to produce assembled parts desirable but not essential

Education

  Must have at least 4 GCSE`s with Grade C or above in Maths and English.

  Clean Drivers licence.
